JOB DESCRIPTION

Aircraft Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of aircraft, both inside and out. This role is crucial to ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for passengers and crew, as well as meeting industry standards for cleanliness and hygiene.

QUALIFICATIONS

No academic qualifications are required. On-the-job training may be provided. Vocational qualifications in relevant areas are available at Levels 1 and 2.

TASKS

  • Clean and sanitize the interior of the aircraft, including passenger cabins, restrooms, and galleys..
  • Vacuum and clean seats, carpets, and other interior surfaces..
  • Wipe down tray tables, windows, and other surfaces..
  • Wash and clean the exterior of the aircraft, including the fuselage, wings, and landing gear..
  • Remove dirt, grease, and debris using appropriate cleaning agents..
  • Empty and sanitize aircraft lavatories..
  • Restock supplies, such as toilet paper and soap..
  • Clean and sanitize galley areas, including countertops, ovens, and storage spaces..
  • Dispose of waste and leftover items..
  • Ensure that all passenger areas are neat, organized, and free from debris..
  • Arrange seatbelts, pillows, and blankets according to airline standards..
  • Collect and dispose of waste from passenger areas, crew areas, and galley spaces..
  • Separate recyclables from non-recyclables..
  • Perform detailed cleaning and polishing of aircraft exteriors to maintain a polished appearance..
  • Apply protective coatings or treatments as required..
  • Report any damage, malfunctions, or issues observed during cleaning to maintenance staff..
  • Document and communicate any discrepancies..
